A leading global law firm, seeks an entrepreneurial and experienced professional in the Los Angeles area to serve as the primary business development and marketing support person for the firm's growing California offices. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the partners, operations team, and colleagues across the firm’s Marketing Department to help chart business development strategy and drive a range of new business and marketing initiatives.
Work with Business Development leadership, partner leaders, and senior staff to help craft and execute a range of go-to-market strategies. Organize and drive client targeting programs for supported areas, including prompting and monitoring pursuit activities, and tracking results and ROI. Conduct strategic research on potential clients, competitors and practice developments more broadly to identify business trends and opportunities and ensure the Firm is optimally positioned to grow market share. Identify and facilitate participation in sponsorships, conferences, memberships and other key profile-building opportunities for the California market. Assist with coordination of the California marketing budget: assist with vetting big-ticket requests and analyzing marketing expenses and effectiveness thereof. Serve as the primary contact for California business development and marketing requests.
Candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s degree (JD or MBA preferred) and at least 7 years of experience in a comparable role at a law firm or similar professional services environment.
