The Business Development Manager supports the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) partners in the U.S. and plays a key role in executing the group’s marketing and business development strategy. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, strengthening the group’s market profile in the U.S. and globally, and identifying new business opportunities. The manager works closely with FIG partners and collaborates with BD colleagues in London while overseeing two U.S.-based team members.

 

Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with attorneys, maintaining insight into the financial services sector, and advising on opportunities aligned with market trends. The role leads brand positioning initiatives such as conferences, client presentations, webinars, and cross-selling campaigns.

 

The manager prepares and manages tailored pitches and proposals, oversees the development of marketing materials, and conducts market research and client analysis to identify growth opportunities. Additional responsibilities include supporting lead generation, integrating lateral partners, tracking ROI on BD initiatives, maintaining CRM and Foundation data, and managing award submissions and PR opportunities. The role also coordinates conferences, sponsorships, and other profile-raising events while ensuring budget adherence.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field and at least seven years of business development experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Demonstrated project leadership and team management experience are required.

 

Hybrid schedule: Four days
