The Business Development Manager will support the business development activities of a market-leading Private Credit and Leveraged Finance practice, partnering closely with lawyers across global offices to develop, plan, and implement strategic marketing and client initiatives. The role focuses on expanding client relationships, enhancing market visibility, and driving revenue growth across a broad range of finance transactions, including leveraged lending, fund finance, corporate finance, restructurings, investment-grade and commercial lending, structured products, and specialty financings.
Key responsibilities include creating and executing business development strategies; leading practice group meetings; identifying new business opportunities and cross-selling initiatives; and supporting individual attorney business plans and lateral integration. The Manager oversees client targeting efforts, works with Competitive Intelligence to analyze markets and competitors, and facilitates relationship-building with key clients and prospects.
The role also manages high-quality pitches, RFPs, and marketing materials; coordinates client events, webinars, sponsorships, and conferences; and partners with Marketing on thought leadership, directory submissions, and rankings. The Manager mentors junior team members and helps drive best practices across the BD function.
Qualifications include at least eight years of relevant experience, strong project management and communication skills, the ability to work independently and in teams, and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week
Salary range: $140,000-$200,000
