Description


The Business Development Manager partners with the Associate Director to execute strategic initiatives supporting the Firm’s M&A and Corporate practices, driving cross-practice collaboration and consistent growth. The Manager leads business development efforts, including client targeting, pursuit teams, and the creation of high-quality pitches and presentations that clearly articulate the Firm’s value proposition. This individual manages sales pipelines, advises attorneys on lead generation and follow-up, and ensures accurate experience tracking within firm systems. The role also identifies cross-practice opportunities and aligns strategies across regions.

 

In collaboration with Strategic Intelligence and marketing teams, the Manager supports strategic planning, market research, and client engagement efforts. They oversee profile-raising initiatives such as events, sponsorships, PR, rankings, and thought leadership, while managing submissions and maximizing visibility.

 

The Manager also leads event strategy and execution, supports post-event follow-up, and tracks engagement through CRM tools. Additionally, the role includes supervising junior staff, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment with firm policies and best practices.

 

This a new role on the Transactional business development team due to headcount growth.

 

Qualifications:

 

Candidates should have 7+ years of law firm BD/marketing experience, strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Hybrid schedule: 3 days

 

Salary range: $190,000-$210,000
