A law firm in New York is actively growing it's Innovation team. The Practice Innovation Manager will help develop, implement and raise general awareness of a firm-wide program around innovating the practice of law to improve client value. The Manager will identify, prioritize, prototype and implement innovative process, technology and other solutions to enhance legal services and client value, and communicate and evangelize such solutions through convincing use cases and marketing strategies to promote user adoption. This position will focus on legal practice solutions used by our attorneys and/or legal operations solutions used by the firm.
This role is part of the Practice Innovation Group within the Knowledge Department. This position reports to and works closely with the Director of Practice Innovation and collaborates with practice groups, the Knowledge team, IT staff, other departments and firm clients to conceive of and implement process improvement and technology solutions that enhance legal service delivery and overall client experience.
A bachelor's degree is requried and a JD preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience during which the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities were attained. Direct experience in a law firm environment preferred. Strong project management skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and capable of producing quality written communications such as presentations, spreadsheets, slides and other standard work documents. Strong appetite and aptitude to learn new technologies, develop innovative solutions and deliver compelling messaging. Ability to quickly learn and utilize new software programs and tools. General digital and tech-savviness and social media acumen.
