The Practice Manager supports the leadership and operational effectiveness of the Private Investment Funds practice, with responsibility for attorney staffing, professional development, training, and practice operations. This role manages associate staffing across U.S. offices, balancing workloads, monitoring utilization, and aligning assignments with experience, client needs, and development goals. The Manager serves as a key resource to partners on staffing matters, analyzes utilization and productivity data, and helps address capacity and workflow challenges.
The position also supports associate engagement, mentoring, evaluations, onboarding, and career development initiatives. Working closely with practice leadership, the Manager coordinates training programs, practice group meetings, knowledge management resources, and innovation initiatives. Additional responsibilities include overseeing attorney transitions, leaves, secondments, time-entry compliance, and workforce planning, while collaborating with Recruiting, Human Resources, Finance, and other business services teams.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses a J.D. and at least three years of experience at a leading law firm, along with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills. The ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively across departments, and support a fast-paced transactional practice is essential.

Salary range; $190k-$215k
