This hybrid position can be based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley.

The role provides an opportunity to apply your skills in data management, eDiscovery, and technology solutions, with a strong focus on risk mitigation and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with attorneys, IT professionals, and external vendors to lead internal data collection efforts, enhance processes, and ensure operational excellence within a sophisticated law firm environment.

- Internal Data Collection & eDiscovery Execution: Lead efforts to collect internal firm data in response to subpoenas, Requests for Production (RFPs), and other legal inquiries.

- Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategic Guidance: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and cross-functional business teams to determine custodians, define data sources, and establish collection strategies.

- Technology Utilization: Manage data search, collection, processing, and export activities using tools such as Relativity, Microsoft Exchange, MS Purview, iManage DMS, and other systems.

- Relativity Workspace Administration: Administer Relativity workspaces, including data preparation, indexing, batching, searching, exporting, and producing.

- Risk Management & Proactive Escalation: Identify potential information governance risks early to ensure early detection and resolution.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across IT, Risk Management, Litigation Technology, and external vendors to support complex data collection efforts, software upgrades, and process improvements.

- Process Development & Documentation: Design, enhance, and maintain standardized procedures to drive continuous improvement and efficiency within data collection operations.

- Training & Staff Support: Provide training, coaching, and support to attorneys, paralegals, and staff regarding tools, workflows, and information governance best practices.

- Operational Versatility: Balance multiple priorities effectively, meet tight deadlines, and support evolving firm initiatives—including occasional work outside regular hours, when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.

- Minimum of 10 years in electronic discovery, ideally with prior law firm or in-house legal department experience.

- Advanced expertise in Relativity workspace administration, with Relativity Certified Administrator certification highly preferred.

- Deep proficiency in tools and platforms, including MS Office, text editors (Notepad++, UltraEdit), collaboration tools (MS Teams, Zoom), email archives, iManage DMS, and SharePoint.

- Knowledge of structured data tools and advanced processing workflows.

- Strong ability to interpret large datasets, prioritize effectively, and communicate technical information in a precise and accessible manner.
