Description


The Senior Business Development Manager supports the Government Contracts and Privacy & Cybersecurity practice groups, along with cross-practice industry teams and client service initiatives. Reporting to a Business Development Director, this role serves as a strategic advisor to practice leadership and partners, leading initiatives that drive revenue growth, client expansion, and market visibility. The position collaborates closely with Marketing & Client Development, practice management, pricing, and innovation teams to advance firm priorities.

 

Key responsibilities include partnering with practice leaders to develop and execute annual business development plans; identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships, attract new clients, and promote cross-selling across practices. The role leads the development of strategic pitches, RFP responses, marketing collateral, and thought leadership content. The Senior Manager also supports lateral partner integration, oversees rankings and awards submissions, plans client development events, and manages practice group business development budgets.

 

Additional responsibilities include monitoring industry, client, and competitor trends; maintaining practice knowledge and CRM data; and mentoring business development staff.

 

Candidates should have at least seven years of relevant business development or marketing experience in a professional services environment, including supervisory responsibility. Strong strategic thinking, communication, and project management skills are required. Experience supporting Government Contracts and/or Privacy and Cybersecurity practices is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degrees are a plus.

 

Hybrid schedule: Three days

Salary range: $173,000 - $226,000
