Description


The Senior Manager of Business Development supports the Health Care and Life Sciences practice groups and cross-practice client teams by leading strategic business development and marketing initiatives. This role serves as a senior advisor to practice leadership, helping develop and execute business development plans that expand existing client relationships, attract new clients, and drive cross-selling opportunities across the firm. The Senior Manager collaborates closely with Marketing & Client Development colleagues and professional staff teams—including practice management, pricing, innovation, and communications—to advance practice and firm priorities.

 

Key responsibilities include developing pitches and RFP responses; creating and maintaining marketing collateral, experience lists, and website content; monitoring client, industry, and competitive trends; and identifying opportunities to enhance the practices’ market profile through thought leadership, events, speaking engagements, and media placements. The role also supports lateral partner recruiting and integration, manages submissions to rankings and directories, oversees knowledge management efforts in CRM and experience systems, and helps manage the practice group’s business development budget.

 

The Senior Manager mentors junior team members and drives initiatives that strengthen client relationships, elevate the firm’s brand, and generate revenue growth.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of seven years of business development or marketing experience, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment, with prior team leadership experience.

 

Hybrid schedule: Three days

Salary ranges: 

CH: $164,000-$216,000

DC: $173,000-$226,000

NY: $181,000-$238,000
