Description

Our client, a market leading legal services company has engaged Celeritas Recruiting to search for a Vice President of eDiscovery. This is a unique opportunity to rapidly expand a successful division.  This person will provide eDiscovery solutions to law firms and law departments globally. As the leader you will delight customers, achieve gross profit targets across eDiscovery, managed review and breach review.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design services that improve the value that customers receive.
  • Operate and improve the people, process, and technology of our delivery platform.
  • Improve service, quality, productivity, and profitability results through process improvement, learning, automation, industry best practices, and benchmarking.
  • Attract, motivate, and retain a happy, high-performing team of employees.
  • Define and achieve profit goals, make investments, take commercial risks, lead and drive results, e.g., through innovative pricing.
  • Work collegially with the other divisions, understanding and respecting the mission of each, and how each of their services fit together with yours for the good of the greater whole.
  • Proactively support the mission of the team, and work closely with Sales and Marketing Leadership to bring your services to market, either separately or as part of an integrated solution.

Experience & Qualifications 

  • Experience as a proven business leader at a eDiscovery company, law firm, consultancy or corporate legal department.
     
  • Experience leading or working closely with marketing and sales to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets and grow them year on year.
     
  • Experience managing a technology-enabled services business that has consistently met or exceeded budgeted profit targets and improved on them year on year.
     
  • Experience managing large scale, multi-process, multi-location, legal services, business services, or legal managed services operations to satisfy customers.
  • Knowledge of popular eDiscovery technologies (including Relativity, Reveal, Everlaw, and others)
     
  • In-depth experience with common eDiscovery and document review workflows throughout the EDRM model.
     
  • Experience with staffing and managing large-scale, fast-moving document review projects.
     
  • Proven ability to improve outcomes for customers.
     
  • Proven ability to lead, design, present, implement, and manage solutions that convince customers to select .
     
  • Proven success in transitioning work (e.g., outsourcing, offshoring, or automating) to drive service delivery improvement and cost savings for customers.
     
  • Experience leading and managing responses to complex RFPs/RFIs to prospective customers, including executive leadership and support of sales pursuits, solution design, pricing, and profit analysis.
     
  • Understanding of contracts and service level agreements with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skill, including awareness of objectives of stakeholders such as customers and investors.
     
  • Proven enterprise-level transformation, re-engineering, and change management experience demonstrating the ability to lead across functions to an outcome.
     
  • Proven success integrating technology into solutions to improve efficiency, cycle-times, quality, prediction, or decision-making. 
     
  • You will have a demonstrated record of success in building and leading strong teams that operate globally and deliver on commitments.
     
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional colleagues globally, e.g., United Kingdom, United States, India, Australia, Poland, Switzerland, and the Philippines to get things done.
     
  • Coaching, mentoring, and people development skills, especially of other high performing managers.
