James joined Celeritas in January, bringing an impressive resume, a track record of achievement and extensive expertise in eDiscovery and consulting. His professional experience began with roles in business development and grew into leadership, successfully using his natural consultative approach to establish meaningful connections and build trust with clients and colleagues alike. He became skilled at listening and understanding their needs in a way that allowed him to help find innovative solutions to complex challenges. It’s these qualities that make him a perfect fit for the Celeritas team.

“After working more than two decades as a sales executive, business owner and subject matter expert in eDiscovery, professional services and management consulting, I decided it was time for my next chapter. After some professional coaching and much soul-searching, I realized that career-wise, my greatest joy and fulfillment always come from working with people.
I also realized that our industry’s primary focus for many years has been on technology-enabled services. While it has gotten faster and smarter and remains a powerful tool, technology has also leveled out in some ways. We all can access the latest tools, so what differentiates one provider from another? It’s about people – intelligent, creative and innovative people who develop that technology, the processes and the workflows to be deployed and applied successfully.
That’s what I aim to be a part of – working with those talented people. And that’s why I joined Celeritas.
I’m excited to be part of an agency regarded for its approach as an advisor for both candidates and employers. We’re not just about filling positions, but about connecting people with the right organizations to ensure their career goals are met and that both parties realize real long-term value from the hire.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with small organizations and large global corporations involved in various matters, including high-profile government investigations, litigations, M&A and a variety of compliance-related initiatives. Consulting with different people in different roles, all with different needs and expectations within those companies and firms, is something I’ve always enjoyed. Working with everyone from support staff to senior partners or general counsel taught me how to see multiple perspectives while maintaining a broader view of the business. This allowed me to come up with creative solutions and be nimble enough to pivot when necessary, always ensuring the organization as a whole was making informed decisions while meeting everyone’s needs.
As my network expanded so did my industry knowledge, enabling my growth into progressive leadership positions at prominent eDiscovery companies, legal technology software and service providers and global consulting firms. By knowing what I didn’t know and focusing on the people I did know, I combined my knowledge of eDiscovery, information governance and cybersecurity with the considerations I gathered from clients, regulators, corporate executives and other company stakeholders to identify and manage risk. To that end, I always ensured my clients had the assistance of industry-leading professionals to understand, address and respond to these risks. In addition, I focused on building trust and ensuring that the path forward is beneficial in both the near and long term.
In my new role with Celeritas, I lean on my decades of experience to help candidates navigate their careers across the myriad of opportunities in professional services, eDiscovery, data privacy, IG, cyber, legal technology and, yes, law firms. In addition to helping veteran candidates, I also have a soft spot for less experienced professionals motivated to move up in their careers, providing them with the information and coaching they need to grow professionally – all while helping our clients strategically attract the talent necessary to grow their businesses.”
