Description


The Associate Director of Business Development – Litigation partners with firm lawyers to design and execute business development and marketing strategies across multiple litigation and disputes practices, including International Arbitration, Antitrust, Asset Management Litigation, White Collar, and Internal Investigations, with additional support for Commercial Litigation and IP.

 

Working closely with litigation partners and the broader marketing and business development team, this role focuses on expanding existing client relationships and generating new business. The Associate Director collaborates regularly with peers supporting other practice areas to deliver integrated, cross-practice initiatives and strengthen the firm’s overall market position. A core responsibility is building trusted advisory relationships with practice group leaders by providing strategic guidance informed by market and competitive insights.

 

This is a senior, highly strategic role for a results-oriented professional with strong analytical, commercial, and leadership capabilities. The Associate Director assesses market trends, identifies growth opportunities, and develops strategies aligned with the firm’s long-term objectives. Success requires exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, along with experience in legal or professional services. The role includes proactive lead generation, cross-functional collaboration, and positioning litigation practices as market leaders.

 

Qualifications: 

 

10-15 years of experience in a Professional Services environment, including business development, marketing and communications functions. Experience with litigation or disputes practice areas in a global law firm.  Excellent leadership skills.  Extensive experience hiring, motivating, developing and evaluating high performance team members.  Strong strategic capabilities and ability to analyze and identify client and market opportunities consistent with strategic objectives. 

 

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office

Salary range:  $200,000-$270,000
