The Business Development Manager will support the Executive Compensation & Benefits and Labor & Employment practices, partnering closely with practice leadership to drive strategic growth initiatives. This role focuses on executing business development plans, managing client pitches and RFPs, tracking performance, and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and increase revenue.
The position also serves as a primary liaison to attorneys, supporting client development strategies, preparing for meetings, conducting market and competitive analysis, and identifying new business opportunities. The Manager will support cross-practice and cross-border initiatives, maintain key client relationships, and assist with integration of lateral and newly promoted partners.
In addition, the role plays a key part in marketing execution, including developing proposals and presentations, coordinating events, managing practice materials and experience data, and supporting communications and PR efforts. The Manager will also oversee and mentor team members, manage budgets, track ROI, and advise lawyers on business development best practices.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, proactive professional with strong communication and project management skills, experience advising senior stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have at least six years of business development or marketing experience in a law firm or professional services setting, including some leadership experience.
Hybrid schedule: Three days onsite
Salary range: $200,000-$220,000
