The Business Development Manager supports the Intellectual Property practice, partnering closely with attorneys and leadership to drive strategic business development and marketing initiatives. This role focuses on developing high-quality pitch materials and RFP responses, executing growth strategies, and identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and expand market presence.
The position plays a key role in implementing business development plans, tracking performance, and supporting client-facing activities such as seminars, events, and sponsorships. The Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including competitive intelligence, to deliver market insights and enhance client targeting efforts. Responsibilities also include maintaining marketing collateral, managing digital content, and supporting rankings and award submissions.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, proactive professional with strong communication and project management skills, experience working with senior stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have at least five years of business development or marketing experience in a professional services setting, along with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office tools.
