This is a new role on the Marketing and Business Development team, created to support the firm's global Technology Industry Group and related initiatives across AI, quantum computing, data centers and semiconductors. The Business Development Manager will report to the Director of Business Development and will work closely with industry and committee group leaders, as well as the broader Marketing and BD team, to drive business development, marketing, and external communications efforts across the California region.
Responsibilities span strategic business planning and budget oversight, client and business development initiatives, pitch and RFP preparation, market and competitive analysis, lateral attorney integration support, thought leadership and sponsorship opportunities, event support, and content development for directories, websites, and communications.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, and brings at least five years of experience in professional services marketing and business development, with law firm experience highly desirable. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are essential, along with demonstrated leadership, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of accountability. Supervisory experience is a plus, as is proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
This is an exempt, hybrid position with a salary range of $200,000–$240,000, depending on experience.
