This is a Business Development Senior Specialist role supporting the firm's New York office as part of the In-Market Client Development team. The Senior Specialist will serve as a key business development resource and trusted advisor to New York partners, helping advance the office's strategic growth objectives through client development, market-facing initiatives, and cross-practice collaboration. The role will work closely with partners, client teams, practice and industry groups, and the broader Business Development and Marketing team to strengthen key client relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities span strategic client development, business development and cross-selling initiatives, sophisticated market and competitive research, pitches and proposals, and development of marketing collateral and other client-facing materials. The role will also lead and execute major sponsorships, client programs and events; evaluate external engagement and networking opportunities; support global and regional client targeting initiatives; manage client entertainment opportunities; and monitor budgets, event effectiveness, and ROI. This is a high-visibility role that requires someone comfortable independently driving initiatives while collaborating across teams and working directly with partners and senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, and brings strong business development and marketing experience, with Big Law experience highly preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are essential, along with the confidence to lead high-level client calls and work effectively with senior partners and executives. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple competing priorities, with strong project management and relationship-building skills. Flexibility to attend meetings and events as needed is also important.
This is an exempt, hybrid position, with a salary range of $120,000-140,000, depending on experience.
