Description


The Senior Manager, Firm Recognition leads the firm's legal directory and rankings strategy, overseeing submissions for Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR, and other key publications. This role manages the end-to-end submission process, ensuring consistency, quality, and strategic positioning of the firm's practices and lawyers.

 

Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with directory editors and researchers, advising partners on rankings strategy, supporting interviews, conducting competitive analysis, tracking industry trends, and managing directory-related communications and updates.

 

The Senior Manager supervises team members, oversees daily operations and special projects, develops departmental procedures, and drives long-term planning initiatives. Additional responsibilities include performance management, staff development, resource allocation, budget oversight, and ensuring compliance with firm policies.

 

Qualifications

 

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree and at least eight years of law firm marketing or communications experience, including three years focused on legal directories and one year of supervisory experience. Strong leadership, project management, analytical, communication, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and thrive in a fast-paced professional services environment. Occasional travel and schedule flexibility are required.

 

Hybrid schedule: 3 days

Salary range: $210,000-$225,000
