Description


The Sr. Business Development Manager supports Corporate & Private Equity practices by developing and executing strategic business plans, driving client opportunities, and strengthening market positioning. Working closely with lawyers and business development leadership, this role leads pitches, RFPs, client targeting initiatives, and experience management efforts while serving as a central connector across practices and offices.

 

Key responsibilities include drafting and implementing business development plans, supporting key client programs, monitoring industry trends, leading lateral integration efforts, and aligning budgets with strategic goals. The role also drives submissions for legal rankings, oversees research initiatives, supports seminars and events, manages CRM activity, and develops client-facing messaging in collaboration with communications teams. The Manager mentors junior colleagues and collaborates across disciplines to advance revenue-generating opportunities.

 

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and 8–12 years of business development or marketing experience in a law firm or professional services environment. Strong knowledge of corporate or private equity markets, excellent communication skills, experience managing multiple priorities, and familiarity with CRM platforms such as DealCloud are preferred.
