Our client, a leading global legal services provider specializing, is seeking a Vice President of Technical Operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accomplished leader to shape, scale, and optimize a high-performance data operations function within a dynamic organization committed to leveraging innovative technology to meet complex client needs.


The VP  is responsible for designing, building, and enhancing the organization’s data operations capabilities. This leader will drive operational excellence, implement scalable processes, and lead technology-driven transformations to support current demands and future growth. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation that aligns with the company's overall objectives.


This role will lead automation and AI initiatives within legal or data operations environments, so prior exposure to high-growth organizations or digital transformation projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing data ingestion, processing, hosting, and delivery workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency, quality, and scalability improvements.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for scaling data operations sustainably, including technology integration, automation, and process enhancements.
- Establish meaningful KPIs, SLAs, and performance standards, and implement operational dashboards to monitor progress and inform decision-making.
- Lead initiatives to incorporate automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced analytics into workflows, balancing innovation with operational stability.
- Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to enhance platform capabilities and optimize operational efficiencies.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a growing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and agility.
- Build capacity planning models and refine staffing strategies aligned with both current and projected workloads.
- Monitor and improve cost efficiencies, turnaround times, and resource utilization through data-driven insights.
- Partner across functions - including Client Delivery, Sales, and Customer Success - to ensure alignment of operational strategies with client expectations and business objectives.
- Standardize workflows and ensure compliance with industry best practices and data handling regulations, supporting scalable process maturation.

 

Qualifications
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in eDiscovery, legal technology, or data operations.
- At least 10 years in leadership roles, managing managers and scaled teams.
- Proven success in scaling or transforming operations functions within high-growth environments.
- Deep operational and analytical mindset with practical expertise in process improvement and technology integration.
- Hands-on experience with Relativity and other eDiscovery platforms
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
