The Business Development Manager supports the firm’s Insurance Transactional Group by driving strategic growth initiatives and client development efforts. Key responsibilities include developing and executing business development strategies; creating tailored pitches, proposals, and RFP responses; and identifying cross-selling opportunities. The role partners closely with practice leadership to manage annual business plans and budgets, deliver updates in practice group meetings, and conduct client, market, and competitive research to inform targeted initiatives.
The Manager oversees directory and award submissions, maintains matter data for the firm’s experience database, and develops systems to track progress on practice priorities. Additional duties include coordinating events, sponsorships, and speaking engagements; collaborating with attorneys on individual practice plans; and working with the communications team to promote practice achievements and elevate market visibility.
This position will oversee one Business Development Coordinator
Qualifications include strong experience developing pitches, proposals, and presentations; excellent communication skills; project and process management expertise; analytical capabilities; and sound business judgment. The role requires a highly motivated, collaborative professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of law firm marketing experience. Experience with an Insurance group is preferred.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office
Salary range: $150,000-$170,000
