Description


The Business Development Manager will support client and business development initiatives for the Labor & Employment department. This visible, partner-facing role will drive market awareness, demand, and relationship growth by working closely with partners, lawyers, and the broader business development team.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Develop deep knowledge of the group’s strategy, sectors, markets, clients, and competitors to identify opportunities for new work and cross-selling. Lead the creation of compelling pitches, proposals, and RFP responses; collaborate with pricing, legal project management, and marketing intelligence teams to craft competitive messaging and fee arrangements. Support marketing campaigns, events, conferences, and rankings/awards submissions to raise market visibility and promote thought leadership. Track and analyze business development activity, outcomes, and market/regulatory trends; ensure accurate data capture and continuous improvement through debriefs and best-practice sharing. Manage strategic client events and ensure follow-up activities are executed.. Collaborate with and help mentor junior team members.

 

Qualifications


8–10+ years of relevant business development experience (law firm or professional services preferred), strong project management, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office per week.

Salary range: $120,000-$160,000
