The Business Development Manager drives strategic growth initiatives for leading Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Transactions practices, while supporting key industry groups such as Healthcare, Hospitality, Technology, Media & Entertainment, Real Estate, and Sports. Serving as a strategic partner to attorneys, this role shapes and executes integrated marketing, client development, and practice-growth strategies.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing business development plans; analyzing market opportunities; leading practice group meetings; supporting lateral integration; and managing client targeting programs. The Manager partners with research teams to gather market intelligence, supports cross-selling initiatives, and enhances client relationships. The role also oversees pitches, proposals, marketing materials, events, sponsorships, and thought leadership efforts, ensuring high-quality deliverables and measurable impact.
The Manager supervises BD team members and collaborates with firm leadership to advance practice priorities and increase revenue.
Qualifications:
• 8+ years of relevant experience in professional services marketing or business development
• Law firm experience and industry knowledge preferred
• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week
Salary range: $140,000-$200,000
