The Business Development Manager will work closely with Tax, Compensation & Benefits practice leaders and partners to drive revenue growth and enhance client relationships. Key responsibilities include leading pitches and RFPs, elevating market presence through events and thought leadership, and identifying opportunities to deepen and expand client engagements across both practice areas.
The role includes developing and executing strategic business development plans; managing practice group meetings; supporting cross-selling across industries such as private equity, financial services, sports, healthcare, and nonprofits; overseeing pitches, proposals, and marketing materials; coordinating events, sponsorships, and thought leadership initiatives; and collaborating with attorneys and BD colleagues on high-quality content and market positioning. The Manager will also mentor junior team members and support lateral partner integration.
The Tax practice is known for its practical, business-oriented counsel in a highly technical field. The team serves as trusted advisors on the most complex and challenging matters of the day, delivering creative yet pragmatic solutions to leading companies, investors, and institutions.
The Firm’s Compensation & Benefits practice is highly regarded for its comprehensive expertise in employee benefits, executive compensation, fiduciary matters, and ERISA litigation.
Qualifications include at least 8 years of relevant experience, strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in law firm business development, particularly in Tax or Compensation & Benefits, is preferred.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week
Salary: $140,000-$200,000
