The Legal Project Manager (LPM) supports the firm’s legal operations objectives by equipping attorneys and business services teams with tools, data, and insights that drive efficiency and enhance client service.
Responsibilities include:
Partnering with attorneys to scope matters, develop budgets, and track progress across practices. Preparing matter updates and performance metrics for review and presentation. Using tools available technology to analyze and present data. Managing budgets, timelines, and deliverables for complex engagements. Conducting research and data gathering for strategic and department-wide projects. Identifying issues, escalating appropriately, and documenting lessons learned. Collaborating with Pricing, FP&A, Client Operations, Knowledge Management, Practice Management, and IT to support process improvements and innovation initiatives. Contributing to knowledge sharing, best practices, and process documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or JD preferred. 5+ years professional experience, with 1–2 years in Legal Project Management preferred. PMP or Prince2 certification a plus. Strong data analysis and reporting skills. Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities. Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple priorities. Expereince with Iridium, Clocktimizer, Aderant, HighQ, Smartsheet, Foundation, Preqin, Bloomberg, and Excel a plus.
